Stephanie Boyer is a Haitian-American violinist who was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She started playing the violin at age 10 at a magnet school for arts, being school-taught until her first private lesson during her junior year of college. In her first decade of performing, she immersed in various orchestras, in and out of school, and had the opportunity to perform with the Brooklyn Boroughwide Orchestra at Carnegie Hall at the age of 15.
As her love of music grew, she started composing arrangements for multiple instruments and ensembles. However, she specializes in writing for string quartet due to her experience as a violinist in “Spirit Quartet”. She became a church musician as she pursued her Bachelors in Music followed by her Masters in Music Composition. She is currently the Music Director of an elementary school and aims to use her experience to be a positive influence to this generation and her community.
